What will you be responsible for? 

  • Analyzing the national and international market demand 
  • Identifying and developing, together with our Delivery Manager, the adequate offering to answer to the demand 
  • Prospecting the market, whilst identifying and developing potential client relationships 
  • Cherishing and managing the relationship with our strategic partners 
  • Managing and delivering the pre-sales track 

 

  • Developing adequate qualitative offers 
  • Closing the sales process, and handing over the client relationship to the delivery manager 
  • Continuing to be involved in de delivery of the projects by effective account management, where needed 
  • Managing the company sales funnel and weekly commercial progress reporting to management 

What does our ideal Business Development & Sales Manager look like?

Experience 

  • Istrategic ICT solution sales and customer service, and in commercial client-facing positions 
  • In managing high and lower-level contacts with corporate decision influencers, makers and board members  
  • In successfully managing and delivering the sales process 
  • In closing complex sales contracts 
  • In managing strategic business partnerships 

 

Technical knowledge

  • Solid knowledge of logistics and warehouse processes and technologies (i.e. Remote FrequencyVoice Picking; …) 
  • (Pre-) sales experience in SAP EWM and SAP Logistics configuration and integration with other SAP modules 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Languages: Fluent Dutch & English, both spoken and in writing. Fluency in French is considered a plus 
  • Teamwork: Can inspire and motivate. Blends people into teams when needed and leverages individuals’ strengths. Can be counted on to exceed annual strategic goals successfully

  • Adaptable: Embraces and analyses change in the marketplace. Is self-aware of areas of commercial opportunities and strengths 
  • Leading: Makes decisions and acts in ways consistent with our corporate core values 
  • Ability to work autonomously: While we are one team striving to achieve results together, each member of the team needs to be able to work on his own. This means moving topics forward to the best of your ability without constant supervision, identifying and communicating when you need support or help, and adequately engaging colleagues and management as required
